Grand Slam Pizza is Vista's newest Pizza parlor. Their business model focuses on community involvement and supporting their youth sports. As the owner, Louie "Bear" Archuleta, being born and raised in Vista, some of his earliest and best memories were going to a Pizza Parlor after his Little League and Pop Warner games. It was always Strawhat Pizza, Godfathers, Round Table or Stuft Pizza, where after their game the parents would bond over beer and pizza and the kids would bond over video games. Growing up in Vista in the 70's and 80's they had the small town feel where everyone knew everyone even with the growth of their city they have not lost that small town feel, but in the Shadowridge area, they were missing a neighborhood restaurant that "community" is built upon.
