Recently expanded, Stepping Stones Museum is designed to get kids excited about learning. The Build It! exhibit explains the many tools and materials needed for basic construction and allows them to design and decorate an unfinished home. The Energy Lab explores the many ways humans turn their environment into useful energy, including water, air and sunlight.
Your kids will investigate their own fitness and nutrition plans at Healthyville, an exhibit designed to teach the inner workings of the heart, lungs, bones and the rest of the body. The 27-foot ColorCoaster is a constant, kinetic sculpture designed to actively demonstrate the roles that pulleys, levers and wheels play.
There are plenty of traveling exhibits too and tons of gallery space. Stop into the cafe for a kid friendly healthy meal.
