Inside its spacious-yet-cozy eclectic atmosphere, Pappas Artisanal serves classic dishes with a creative twist, using meats, fish and poultry that are locally sourced, sustainably raised and free of any hormones or antibiotics. Try their Banh Mi Sandwich, bursting with pork, carrots, daikon, sprouts, jalapeno, peanuts, fresh-cut herbs and curry aioli atop bread from Valley Artisan Baking Co in Palm Springs.
Other selections include their Albacore Sandwich with shaved fennel; their famous Creamy Chicken & Roasted Jalapeno Soup; Crispy Pork Salad with just-picked greens, cilantro, cumin creme and roasted tomato dressing; and Pap Pap Wings, with a sweet, savory and sticky garlic sauce. Homemade Salt & Pepper Kettle Chips or Baked Potato Fries make the perfect complements to sandwiches, and daily Brown Bag Lunches that include sandwich, chips, cookie and drink for $6 are available for easy pickup.
